Trek Armor Seat Covers are made of heavy duty marine-grade, water-proof, stain resistant, polyester fabric that is fade resistant & guaranteed for three years minimum. Also, unlike neoprene, Trek Armor seat cover fabric will not cause excessive sweating and will not move around causing that 'sliding' feeling. The skinny on Coilovers on your JK
Coilovers seem to be the RAGE on JK's right now. In the past coilovers were usually synonomous with Crappy highway ride, rockcrawling only, and major upkeep. That isn't the case anymore and I think that is why there are so many options for coilovers on a JK right now.
Why switch to coilovers? Well a coilover can be made with just one spring, which is the same as a traditional coil; but usually they are made with 2 springs. This gives you the ability to have one spring for stiffer hits and one for lighter bumps which gives you a dualrate compression. Second, if you are planning alot of lift (5" or more) the coilover also can allow for a better ride as you are fully flexing two seperate springs rather than one, I could argue all day on either side of this fence though. A larger diameter traditional coil has always historically given a better on road ride because when you are on the road you only use a few inches of the springs compressions and a larger diameter longer spring usually offers a more even smooth compression rate.
Coilovers are also more adjustable. If one side of your rig is drooping you can adjust it via the coilover, you can also tune them for different conditions although this would be way too much work for a normal guy; most of us also don't have the right tools or knowledge to do this. My JK was boiling over from the coolant reservoir when in 4 low and climbing or crawling. Here is a new product which may come in really handy. For those who don't have a winch plate to mount a winch permanently, those who don't want that weight on the front bumper, or those who want to save a little money, this may be the answer. This product may also be the perfect answer for those who need to winch their vehicle from the back. The only downfall may be the 2,000 lb rating, but the portability is great!

Thursday Allan and I took Ryan, one of my best friends from Wisconsin (where I am originally from), to San Marcos to do an afternoon of wheeling.
We ran into another Ryan, a rather new JK owner, right after airing down and dis-connecting. We went ahead and invited him to join us. We spent a couple hours tackling the flexed out sections and big rock climbs by the water tower. Just a bit of CAUTION, the road up to the trails is much more rutted since the dumping of rain we got a month ago.

Changing your engine oil is an essential part of maintaining your vehicle and is very easy to learn.
I use Mobile1 synthetic 5w20 just because I've been using Mobile1 Synthetic all my life. I recently switched to Fram filter part # PH3614 because I didn't like the results I was getting from my Mobile1 filter on my new JK. I use a Mobile1 filter for all my other vehicle's with no issues though. A debate on which filter to use and which oil to use can go on all day so let's get to the write-up.
You will need 6 quarts of engine oil, a filter, a funnel, and a catch pan.

I recently installed the RK 3.5" X-Factor Plus kit and want to pass on the info. If you aren't familiar with Rock Krawler's products, I can tell you they are on the beefy side! They use solid control arms instead of hollow tubes. I guess they would also make a great weapon prior to installation! Not that I would know!
